Fire Shutters
Our 'Mersey' 4 Hour Fire Rated Roller Shutters are designed to comply with latest UK & EEC regulations and in accordance with Clause 8 of BS476 Part 22. 1987 for built in or face fixed rolling shutters to provide over 4 Hours Fire Resistance. Test report Warres No. 63312 and assessed for oversize openings within WFRC No. C81753.
The heavy duty design and our refusal to lower the quality are the reason we are specified by architects, contractors and end users throughout the UK.
Our most commonly used operating system is the fusible link, which breaks at increased temperature causing the activation system to work. Alternatively shutters may be wired into the fire alarm system of premises, operating when the fire alarm is activated.
