OPERATION :
Manual operation by pushing up from either side. Automatic closing by means of drop weights released by fusible link activated by local heat at 68 decree C.

Electric operation by geared motor unit with integral brake, manual brake release and controlled descent speed governor as standard, operated by fail safe closing mechanism activated by local heat at 68 degree C. Supply 240v 1ph OR 415v 3ph 50Hz (to be specified).

An optional 24 v release solenoid which can be interfaced with on site fire alarm system for automatic closure of shutter can be supplied.

NOTE :
Power supply must be available at time of installation for testing of shutter and final settings.

WEIGHT:
Approximately 12.25kg/sq.m

 

APPLICATION:
Tested in accordance with Clause 8 of BS476 Part 22. 1987 for built in or face fixed rolling shutters to provide 4 Hours Fire Resistance. Test Report Warres No. 63312 and assessed for oversize openings within WFRC No. C81753.

In addition to complying with the above requirements the shutters have also been designed to comply with the latest EEC safety legislation.

CURTAIN:
Assembled from continuously interlocked galvanised steel laths, held securely in place by endlocks at each end of alternate laths are either 0.9mm or 1.2mm thick depending on size of shutter. A rolled 1.8mm thick 'T' section bottom rail is fitted to the bottom lath.

HEADPLATE ASSEMBLY:
Fabricated from mild steel plates with steel angles bolted on for securing to structure.

CASING:
Constructed from galvanised mild steel sheet pressed to enclose coil on all exposed faces. Supplied as standard.

SIDE GUIDES :
Fabricated from 3mm thick galvanised mild steel mounted on rolled mild steel angles for securing to structure.
